Review:

The Best Mistake was sexy, hilarious and so much fun. When I finished that last page, I still had happy tears falling down my face. This book was exactly what I needed. It had friendship, family, love and made me laugh so much. So if you’re a fan of romance set in college or sports romance, then definitely add this one to your tbr!

Only I, Honor Tierney, bookworm extraordinaire, writing recluse, and apparent virgin-for-life, could’ve confused one O’Brien brother for another.

Honor was looking for a one night stand and who better to have one with then Baylor O’Brien. He was absolutely gorgeous, athletic and known for his player ways. Except Honor hooked up with Baylor’s brother, Archer, and she was none the wiser. But it set Honor and Archer on a path that had me smiling and laughing from that first chapter to the last.

The only thing I knew for certain: Guys like him and girls like me didn’t mix.
This couldn’t end well.

I loved how easy it was to connect with Honor Tierney. She was a down to Earth girl who didn’t want to emotionally get hurt from a relationship. Her past had jaded her and I understood why she doubted others interest in her. But she was a wonderful friend and had such a good heart. I absolutely loved Honor, especially when she spoke her mind. Her happiness, embarrassment, nervousness all felt like mine. And a lot of those emotions were tied into her moments with Archer.

“Did you really think I’d give up that easily?”
“Most guys would,” she said with a shrug.
Yeah well, I wasn’t most guys.

Archer O’Brien was the oldest of six siblings. And he played on a college baseball team with three other of his brothers. They were amazing and some of them were destined to go pro. But it felt like Archer had the weight of the world on his shoulders. So when Honor stumbled into his life, I loved how his worries disappeared when she was around. And even though Honor had her walls up, Archer was patient with her. Just like he was in baseball. I loved watching him try and knock down her walls. Especially since he was kind, determined, smart, humble and oh so sexy. He even had a sense of humor and made me laugh. I fell so hard for Archer!

“I went along with the friends thing because that’s what you wanted. I’m absolutely willing to try no strings attached, if that’s what will make you happy.”
He paused, shook his head.
“But I want so much more from you than sex.”
I forgot how to breathe.

This book was a ton of fun and I was rooting for Honor and Archer every step of the way. From awkward to embarrassment to heartfelt to steamy, they had all the moments. So when Honor got tasked with covering the baseball team Archer was on, for the school paper, I couldn’t contain my excitement. I loved how their time together could turn from being so simple into something with so much heat. But family and friendship also played such a huge roll in this story. I loved Archer’s siblings and Honor’s close friends. They rounded out the story perfectly and I’m so excited for future books about the siblings.

“Can I—”
“Yes.” My answer was immediate.
Honor gave me a look. “But you didn’t even let me finish. I could’ve asked for anything.”
“Exactly. And I would give it to you.”

So yes, I definitely recommend this book! The Best Mistake was mesmerizing, addictive and sexy! This book is for everyone out there who loves romance that melts your heart. The chemistry between Honor and Archer was addictive and the family and friendships added so much depth to this story. It all felt so real and it was so easy to devour. The Best Mistake is another huge hit by Cookie O’Gorman and I can’t wait to see whose story she writes next in this world!

His frown softened to something that looked like awe as I shivered.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said, meeting my eyes again. “So damn beautiful.”

A sudden feeling drew my attention to the other side of the room. I couldn’t really explain it. It was hot like electricity, something magnetic. My eyes searched for the source of that strange pull—and clashed with gray.

My breath caught.

It was like looking into the heart of a storm, intense, powerful. I hadn’t gone up in flames for any of the others, but this guy… Well, this O’Brien who was staring at me—devouring me—with those unusual gray eyes, wearing a frown like he never smiled, a stare so focused I thought he might be memorizing every move I made? Or reading my mind?

“Wow,” I said, voice nothing but a shaky exhale.

Review:

Adorkable was filled with laughter, butterfly and smile inducing moments, and I couldn’t get enough of it! The characters quickly found a place in my heart, and the story-line was so cute! It involved the fake boyfriend trope, and it was done in a way that felt fresh and fun. So this addicting book easily made its way onto my favorites shelf!

I was so tired of surprises. If I had to meet one more blind date, I would literally go insane.

The nicknames in this book were hilarious! Our heroine is Sally Sue Spitz and her classmates call her Spitz. And her best friend is Lillian Hooker, who Sally calls Hooker. Loved it! So Sally was forever single and Hooker, trying to be the best friend ever, always set Sally up on blind dates. But these weren’t regular blind dates. Or even regular guys it would seem. Each and every interaction Sally had with them had me laughing, groaning or doing both out loud. After a horrible double-double date (you’ll see what I mean lol) gone terribly wrong and a misunderstanding, Sally comes up with the idea that she needs a fake boyfriend. It was the only way to stop Hooker’s attempts. So she begged Becks, her best friend forever who’s been in her life since grade school, to be her fake boyfriend.

Ducking, he placed a lingering kiss on the spot right below my ear. The move made my hand shoot out to grip his jersey. Becks laughed silently, little puffs of air hitting my neck, as I shivered.

Becks. Oh Becks. He was one of my many favorite things about this book. The way Becks looked at Sally, the way he claimed her as his, the way he protected her, his jealousy, oh my gosh even the way he touched her, it all made my heart beat so fast. But here’s the confusing part, I had NO clue what he thought at times. You see, he would say and do these things that would imply that he liked Sally more than just friends, but then again he was just playing a part. And his words would reinforce that idea. So I desperately wanted to get in that sexy head of his and know all of his thoughts. Especially when he suggested that they should start practicing….hello butterflies!

“But Becks,” she whined, “I don’t understand. Why her?”
“Nothing to understand really,” he said, smiling down at me. “Sal’s my girl. Always has been.”
As he squeezed my hip, I swear I stopped breathing.

So not only did I adore Becks, but Sally too. I loved how Sally easily sprinkled Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek etc into her daily life. She embraced her geekiness, and I loved how she didn’t second guess herself in that regards. But at the same point, she could be self-conscious. Especially when it came to her feelings towards Becks. You see, while Becks was her BFF, he was also beautiful, smart, a player, a jock and everyone easily loved him. Including Sally. Knowing that Sally wanted to be more than friends with Becks put my heart on the line right with her. I flipped through the pages as fast as possible for both of our stakes!

“Spitz, the guy’s wearing Chinos, and he tried to shake my hand.” She tugged at one end of her bob. “I found him bent over a book bigger than my head in the sci-fi/fantasy section at Barnes and Noble.”
That sounded suspicious. “And what were you doing in Barnes and Noble?” I asked.
“Isn’t it obvious?” she laughed. “I was looking for the male version of you.”
I laughed despite myself. – Spitz (Sally) and Hooker

The side characters not only helped round out this book, but they felt so real to me. Hooker, oh my gosh, I wanted her to listen to Sally at times. But we all have our flaws, and what Hooker thought was best for Sally wasn’t always what was truly the best for her and it led to hilarious moments. My favorites were Ash, Becks’ fellow soccer teammate and Sally’s fellow classmate, and also Clayton, Becks’ oldest brother. I could easily and happily read a book about each of them!

This one could only end badly, and when it did, it was going to hurt.
A lot.

So if you’re a fan of cute books that leave you with the hugest smile ever, or if you adore the fake boyfriend trope, then I highly recommend you pick up Adorkable! This is the second time I’ve picked up this book and I loved it even more the second time. I even cried at the end this second time around, it was just so perfect. So yes, I loved this book with my whole heart! Cookie O’Gorman always creates characters that are so easy to connect with and love, and of course. I can’t wait for you to meet them too!

Review:

The Good Girls Guide To Being Bad was fun, flirty and absolutely adorable! Friendship, kisses, lists, banter, first love and jealousy were wrapped into the pages and I loved every minute of it. With a hate to love vibe and moments that made me laugh so hard I cried, this book easily flew onto my favorites list. So if you’re looking for a YA Romance that is swoon worthy and smile inducing, then this is definitely your book!

Don’t fall for his brother? Colton Bishop?
That was one promise I was sure I’d have no trouble keeping.

Sadie Day found out she was destined to be a nun, or at least that’s what the aptitude test from school told her. As if that wasn’t enough, Dancers Edge rejected her. Again. They said she was too nice and in need of life experiences. Which she kinda did, since Sadie was the ultimate good girl. She didn’t drink, cuss and and she had never been kissed. Plus she had been madly in love with her best friend, Kyle Bishop, since the 5th grade. But her gorgeous best friend had a twin brother. And while Kyle was preppy and clean cut, his twin Colton was a bad boy. Sadie wanted to change her good girl ways, and Colton could be the perfect person to help her out.

“Gah! Will you stop calling it that?”
“What? Your naughty list?” he said innocently. “I don’t know what you’re so ashamed about. It’s natural for repressed good girls like you to want to take a walk on the wild side.”

I absolutely loved Sadie! She was sweet and innocent, but at the same time she could be brave and fierce. She was someone I’d love to have as a friend! But watching Sadie try and crack out of her good girl shell rang me through the emotional ringer. I actually screamed out loud for her, from embarrassment. Where’s a hole in the ground when you need it?! And then there were times when Sadie’s naiveness had me shouting nooooo and then laughing so hard I’d cry. The whole time, I kept finding myself cheering for Sadie and her journey. It was impossible not to be glued to the pages.

“Colton?” I said.
“Yeah?”
Okay, deep breath, Sadie. You can do this. Time to swallow your pride and carpe freaking diem.
“I was hoping you might want to be my kissing partner.”

When Colton finally agreed to help Sadie work on her list, to gain life experiences, I just knew fireworks were in their future. You see, Sadie’s relationship with Colton wasn’t anything like what she had with Kyle, his twin brother. Colton was Sadie’s arch-nemesis, so there was a strong hate vibe between them. Banter was ensured and it was impossible not to smile or laugh when they were around each other. But every once in a while something would happen between them that would have me sighing out loud. And I’d find myself wishing that they could be more.

When I finally worked up the courage, I followed my instinct and pulled the ring into my mouth, giving it a short tug.
That was when I realized just how much he’d been holding back.
With something like a growl, Colton slanted his mouth over mine, and the kiss went from a slow burn into a wildfire.

It didn’t matter to me that Sadie had been in love with Kyle for forever. That’s because Colton was my favorite type of guy, sigh. He’s one of those where you have to dig and look for clues, to see who he truly was. And while he came across as a conceited, cocky, jerk who got into fights and skipped school, he could also be so sweet to Sadie. So when he stood up for his brother or did things that would steal my breath, how could I not love Colton with everything I was. Colton was the ultimate pierced, bad boy who quickly captured my heart.

The thoughts I was having right before ending the kiss…they were trouble. The dangerous kind. My heart was getting confused. This was Colton, not Kyle. I was in love with Kyle. I’d always been in love with him—but then why was my heart still beating so hard after that kiss with his brother?

I love that Cookie O’Gorman writes swoon worthy stories that make you fall in love, laugh and want to be friends with the characters. I couldn’t stop smiling while I read this book, I cant recommend it enough! So if you love stories with bad boys, girls you want to be besties with, an adorable storyline and a hate to love vibe then you should definitely check this book out.

He chuckled, the air hitting my neck as he ducked his head.
When Colton leaned back, it was almost worse because now I could see his eyes, and they bore right into mine, seemingly cool and unaffected. I had no idea what mine revealed, but I hoped it wasn’t too much.

PS If you’ve read Ninja Girl then you may recognize Sadie. She was a friend of Ash, so yes, we get to see our favorites from not only Ninja Girl, but Adorkable too!

PPS I LOVED Sadie’s other best friend, Betty. She was hilarious, that woman cracked me up!

Review:

The Unbelievable, Inconceivable, Unforeseeable Truth About Ethan Wilder was quirky, adorable and completely entertaining. While this had some of my favorite aspects of Cookie’s writing, a heroine I adored, a male I lusted after and a storyline that had me flipping through the pages, this book had a unique feel to it. So if you’re a fan of books that are filled with friendships, a sweet love story and some mystery in the pages then definitely give this book a chance.

“What good does lying do?” he added. “People believe what they want to believe, no matter what the truth is.”

With a mom who was rumored to have a provocative past, to her Aunt being a psychic, Delilah had it rough at times. She was not only bullied by another classmate, but also by a teacher at her high school. Thankfully she had two best friends, a mom and an aunt who loved her with their whole hearts. But one day, a boy showed up and saved Delilah’s life while she was drowning, and then he disappeared. Until the next day at school, and he was the new student.

I couldn’t stay away from Wilder if I tried. I was in too deep to give him up now.

I adored Delilah, she was fierce, brave and she didn’t have a problem speaking her mind or standing up for those she loved. She was such a good friend, daughter and niece. So when Ethan Wilder came waltzing into her life, of course she was interested. The boy was beyond gorgeous, even if he seemed to have a ton of baggage. The rumors said he killed his sister, but Delilah knew first hand how untrue rumors could be. But Wilder could be such a jerk to Delilah. And it didn’t help that he was cold and distant at times.

“You know who I am, what I’m capable of.” A beat passed as he let the threat sink in. “Only assholes talk about girls that way. Don’t speak to her like that again.”
“You can’t tell me what to do,” Grant said—then took a step back as Ethan suddenly leaned forward.
“I think I just did,” Ethan said.

With Wilder at her school, he watched what Delilah experienced. And things slowly started to shift. He stood up for her. He protected her. And even though he had more walls than anyone his age ever should, every once in a while he let her have a look in. And what I saw blew me away. Ethan Wilder was a fun mystery to unravel and he was beyond intoxicating. I loved how he didn’t even have to try and he oozed sex appeal. But I was desperate to get into Wilder’s head! I needed to know his thoughts since he could run hot and cold.

My heart was still his even if he didn’t want it.

I’m not going to say any more than that….just know that all of the characters were breathtakingly real and the story covered everything from love, friendship, bullying, family to standing up for yourself. There was a few mysteries and while I guessed them all correctly, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this book. And the only thing I was left wishing for was that Delilah and Wilder had more moments together. But regardless, this ends with a wonderful hfn. So I recommend this book to everyone that loves ya romance that has some mystery and quirkiness in the pages.

“Not a chance.” I shook my head; no way did I believe that. “The truth, Wilder.”
Crossing his own arms, he said, “I’m gay.”
“You’re what?!” I nearly swallowed my tongue.
Ignoring my outburst, he went on.
“I’ve loved you, Delilah, half my life.”
At that, my heart skipped a beat. How could he say something like that so easily?
“I killed my sister.” He waited for his words to sink in. “If I told you only one of those statements is true,” he said, stare fastened to my face, “which would you believe?”
I thought it over. The first had to be a lie. I’d seen him with too many girls. No way Wilder was batting for the same team. I automatically discarded the second statement. It couldn’t be true either. I hadn’t met Wilder before this year, so his being in love with me for any extended period of time was simply impossible. His being in love with me at all was inconceivable. That left what he’d said about his sister. The idea flitted through my brain, in and out in less than a breath. The more I knew of Wilder, the more convinced I became that some terrible, terrible mistake had been made four years ago. I didn’t believe for a second he’d killed his sister, not even when he said it so convincingly. To think, the same person who’d jumped into that lake could be capable of such an unspeakable offense. No, whatever else he was, Ethan Wilder was not a murderer. He just couldn’t be.
Considering my options, I settled on the only possibility.
“So, you’re gay.” I shrugged. “No big deal. Next time I see Ronnie, I’ll let him know you’re fair game.”
Wilder laughed. The sound was real, filled with complete abandon. Hearing him laugh like that, knowing I’d caused that break in his cool façade, made a strange ache bloom in my chest. I wanted to hear that laugh again and again.
“You do that,” he said, stepping outside. “I’ll see you, Doherty.”
Unable to resist, I said, “Should I tell Ronnie to get your coffee from now on? I’m sure he wouldn’t mind, seeing as how you love it so much.”
Wilder peered through the open door.
“I hate coffee,” he said seriously.
“You do?” I asked confused.
He nodded. “Always have.”
“Then why—?”
“I’ll see you.”
Shutting the door, he took his time walking up the stone pathway.
