Synopsis:

Hot on the ice and tall in the saddle...

Rancher and hockey coach Logan Rivers' attempts to hire a housekeeper are hindered by women more interested in marriage than meal-planning. So when snarky Harper Evans arrives with zero romantic interest in him, he couldn't be happier. But as he gets to know her, he finds himself hungering for more than her cooking.

Down-on-her-luck single mom Harper Evans came to Colorado with one goal: to find her son and bring him home. Temporary work for a local rancher seems perfect, but to keep the job she has to deny her feelings for the hot cowboy who's heating up her kitchen.

Logan's secret learning disability has caused a financial mistake that could cost him everything. With the holidays approaching and a storm closing in, he and Harper have to save his ranch and fight for her son. But can Harper trust the cowboy who is offering her both a home―and his heart?

Review:

Wish Upon a Cowboy was sweet, sexy and filled with small town charm, friendships and second chances.  With holiday moments sprinkled throughout this story, my Christmas loving self was bursting with joy!  Especially in the latter half, I loved it so much.  With tons of heart, I found myself smiling long after I finished that last page.  So if you love Christmas miracles and happy endings for all, definitely add this one to your tbr!

She needed a star right now— needed something to guide her, to lead her to her deepest desire. She felt more lost than she’d ever been.
She stared into the lights of the tree and prayed for guidance and wisdom and for something to give her hope to hold on to.

Harper Evans was someone I instantly liked.  She was a kind hearted woman, yet her past cast a shadow on how she saw herself.  She made a mistake, went to jail and had to spend a few months away from her son.  She was desperate to get back on her feet and have her son in her life, so she traveled to the cute little town of Creedence, Colorado.  Within those first few pages we got to see how big Harper’s heart was and how she was always trying to help others.  I was so happy when she ended up getting a job working for Logan Rivers.  It looked like her luck was finally starting to turn around.

She set something off inside him, something that made him want to flirt with her, to win her over with his charm and coax that sexy smile onto her face.

I was already infatuated with Logan Rivers from Caught Up in a Cowboy.  And while this book can easily be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend picking up the rest of the books in the Cowboys of Creedence Series.  So Logan was sexy, strong and determined.  He worked on his family’s ranch and the hot cowboy even had me laughing out loud at his cheesy humor.  With just firing his house keeper and his ranch hand, Logan was in desperate need of some help.  Especially since his dad was out of town for an extended time.  The ranch was all on him.  Harper seemed like the perfect solution, she was effective, did an amazing job and helped take a load of stress off of Logan right away.

He lowered his tone as he looked into her eyes. “I think we make a good team.”
“We do,” she whispered, then looked away as if his words embarrassed her.

Logan and Harper were instantly attracted to each other.  Yet she needed to focus on her job, so she could get her son back.  Harper definitely didn’t have time for romance in her life.  And Logan made a huge mistake when it came to his family’s ranch, so he needed to focus on his job.  And with Harper leaving in a few weeks or so, he shouldn’t get attached.  While they both tried to ignore what was between them, it was impossible to do.  Especially when it felt effortless for them to form a friendship and anytime they were near each other, sparks were flying.

What was she doing? Her sole purpose for being here was to get Floyd and get out of Dodge, not to get involved with a smart-mouthed cowboy, no matter how hot that cowboy was or how delicious his mouth tasted.

Wish Upon a Cowboy had so much heart in the pages.  It was also a story about a mom and her son’s love.  Of friendships being formed.  Getting second chances.  And a community pulling together while Christmas was in the air.  And with adorable side characters like Nacho the mama cat, Star the wonder cow and Otis who I won’t say what he was lol, oh my goodness, this book was absolutely adorable!  It was topped off with a meddlesome grandma, peppermint schnapps and a winter storm!

Her breath came out in a harsh gasp. “I’m nothing. You deserve more than someone like me.”
“I don’t deserve you. But I want you. With every part of my soul.”

Wish Upon a Cowboy was a beautiful story about forgiveness, happiness and finding love. It was impossible not to have some happy tears towards the end of this book.   Plus I loved that we got to see some of our favorites from the previous books.  So if you love Hallmark Christmas movies because they’re smile inducing, give you all the feels and have the best endings ever, you definitely have to check this book out.  I’m so thankful that Logan got his own story and the fact that it was during the holidays made it absolutely perfect!

Maybe he believed in miracles after all.

Synopsis:

Who needs mistletoe?

Most people wouldn’t think of a bad Santa case as the perfect Christmas gift. Then again, Molly Malone, office manager at Hunt Investigations, isn’t most people, and she could really use a distraction from the fantasies she’s been having since spending the night with her very secret crush, Lucas Knight. Nothing happened, not that Lucas knows that—but Molly just wants to enjoy being a little naughty for once . . .

Whiskey and pain meds for almost-healed bullet wounds don’t mix. Lucas needs to remember that next time he’s shot on the job, which may be sooner rather than later if Molly’s brother, Joe, finds out about them. Lucas can’t believe he’s drawing a blank on his (supposedly) passionate tryst with Molly, who’s the hottest, smartest, strongest woman he’s ever known. Strong enough to kick his butt if she discovers he’s been assigned to babysit her on her first case. And hot enough to melt his cold heart this Christmas.

Review:

Hot Winter Nights was sexy, hilarious, heartwarming and made my heart beat faster.  I loved this book with my whole heart and soul.  And while it can easily be read as a standalone, I’m a little preferential to this fabulous group of friends and recommend picking up all of the previous books too.  It’s so much fun watching their lives intertwine, see what everyone is up to and falling in love with each couple in this series!

“There’s something I need to talk to you about,” he said very seriously.
“I’m not going to rate your performance last night.”
“That’s not—” He paused, his eyes sharpened. “Wait. What does that mean?”
“Nothing.”
“So you’re saying I
did suck.”
She had to laugh. “Well, if you can’t remember it, how good could it really have been, right?”

While healing from a gunshot wound, Lucas Knight found Molly Malone in his bed the next morning.  Even though nothing happened, Lucas couldn’t remember anything thanks to alcohol and his pain meds, and Molly had way too much fun making Lucas think otherwise.  You see, not only did they work together, but Molly was Lucas’ best friend’s little sister. There had always been this addicting sexual tension running between them.  And they were about to spend even more time together!  When a bad Santa case ended up in Molly’s lap, she secretly took it on.  She would love to go from office manager to private investigator and this could help her get what she wanted.  Thankfully she had Lucas who would help her along the way.

“Molly,” he breathed and shifted so that his forehead rested against hers. Sliding his hands into her hair, his fingertips against her scalp, he held her in place. “Do that again,” he demanded, his voice soft steel.

I. Loved. Lucas!  If you are addicted to alpha males, you have to meet him.  He was honest, trustworthy and also sexy as sin.  He put his whole heart in his job, even if it was broken from the past.  But thankfully he had this fabulous, loud, meddling family that I fell head over heels for.  They added so much heart from just the few scenes they were in.  And he also had Molly filling up his life with light and laughter.

“And one more thing. No talking.”
“How about dirty talk?” he asked. “That doesn’t count, right?”
She surprised him by laughing and lightened his heart.
“Dirty talk is allowed,” she decided, and right then and there, he fell in love.

I adored Molly, she was brave, fierce, loyal yet she heavily guarded her heart.  Her past had physically and emotionally scarred her and even though Molly and I didn’t seem to have anything in common, I clicked with her right away.  While Lucas and Molly worked on the bad Santa case they spent more and more time together. I loved how they joked around and that it was beyond obvious that they wanted each other.  But it wasn’t all fun and games for Molly since she kept putting on the breaks. I got it, but oh it pained my heart. I just kept my fingers crossed that they’d figure it out because together they were something spectacular.

He was taking a chance.
On purpose.
He was putting himself out there and it was fucking terrifying.

It got to the point where they definitely couldn’t ignore what was happening between them.  One thing led to another and words turned to touches, sigh. And through it all I kept finding myself smiling, sighing, laughing and clutching my heart.  Not to mention there were a few scenes that had me screaming while giggling and others where I found myself with tears in my eyes.  This book put me through the emotional wringer.  So of course I definitely recommend Hot Winter Nights.  If you adore alpha males, mysteries, bad Santa’s, strong heroines and a fabulous group of friends then definitely pick his one up!

PS The Friends references, in some of the titles for the chapters, oh my gosh I loved it!

Synopsis:

Fueled by love and determination, twenty-one-year-old Harper took a great leap of faith and transferred home from college to finally declare her feelings to Brandon, the boy who's adored her since they were children.

There was only one thing that could derail her perfect plan, and that was Brandon showing up with a new girlfriend the very same weekend.

Now slightly bitter and irked at the world, Harper focuses her time and attention on making her sister's childhood dream come true: she's going to meet Mason Knight, former lead singer of the wildly popular Forever Now band. All Harper has to do is bake her way onto the nationally televised, holiday cookie competition he happens to be judging. Easy. Until she finds herself partnered with Sadie--Brandon's vapid, wide-eyed, hair-of-many-bottle-blond-colors girlfriend.

Just when Harper's ready to throw in the towel, she collides with entitled, pretty-boy, celebrity-judge Mason. Except he's not entitled, and with his sharp eyes and chiseled jaw, there's nothing pretty about him. Suddenly, Harper doesn't just want in the competition--she wants to win. Even if that means she has to play nice with Sadie to accomplish it...

Review:

Sugar and Spice made me laugh, smile and fall hopelessly in love with these characters.  And when I closed the book, I was left wanting to spin circles with my arms out and smiling up at the sun.  Seriously. It was that adorable!  While the story felt a tad unrealistic at times, I didn’t care at all.  I love this series with my whole heart and I can’t get over how much fun each book is!  And while each one can easily be read as a standalone, I highly recommend going back and starting with Glitter and Sparkle.  This series revolves around a group of friends and you don’t want to miss any second of it!

I don’t have to meet him to know his type—entitled, rich-boy snob. And can he change a tire? Throw a football? Start a fire? Basically do half the things Brandon can with his eyes closed? I think not, and therefore, he holds none of my interest.

We’ve had many glimpses of Harper in the last two books.  She’s Riley’s sister, a friend of Lauren’s and she has crushed on Lauren’s brother, Brandon, since forever.  Harper transferred back home to a local college and she was going to confess her feelings to Brandon, but now he had a girlfriend.  Unfortunately Harper can’t ignore Brandon, they were embedded in each other’s lives. Their parents and even sisters were best friends and they did everything together from bbqs to even the holidays.  And through a twist of events, Harper found herself entering a baking competition with Brandon’s girlfriend, Sadie.  Which landed Harper and Sadie on a TV show for a Christmas Cookie Competition (think Food Network Cookie Bake-Off….tons of fun!).

He’s not at all what I expected, and I’m not sure what to think about that.

The judges could be so harsh and I kept hoping they’d make it to the next round.  I was also super nervous for how Harper and Sadie would work together. Shockingly they worked together seamlessly.  Out of the kitchen though it was a different story.  Sadie tried her hardest to make friends with Harper, but I more than got Harper’s hesitation.  I mean she wanted Sadie’s boyfriend, so there was all kinds of awkwardness there. And during those moments, especially the heart aching ones, Harper found herself turning to Mason.

Sadie stares at me, mouth gaping open. She steadies herself on the wall with one hand and fans her face with the other. “Mason Knight just hit on you.”
And as much as I hate to admit it, I liked it.
A lot.

Mason was America’s teen heart throb and was the judge of the baking competition.  He went from being in a boy band to a solo career and ironically he was from the same little town in Montana that Harper was from.  Right from the start I was laughing at Harper and Mason’s interactions.  Their moments together were a little bit awkward, but also completely giggle and sigh worthy.  And after just that first meeting, with an inside joke already established, it all felt so playful every time they were near each other.  Yet there was an undercurrent of sexual tension since there was a natural pull between them.  And it left me feeling as though I couldn’t wait to see what happened next!

“We’ll have to be careful not to appear overly friendly in public,” he whispers, his words tickling my ear.
My mouth goes dry, and I swallow before I answer. “Shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t even know you. You certainly don’t know me.”
“Oh, but I plan to.”

I loved that Mason was thoughtful, a good listener and such a good friend to Harper.  He could be so sweet and down to earth and exactly what she needed with her cynical ways.  Harper found herself spilling her whole heart and soul to him. And each time it pulled them that much closer to together and I found myself a huge smiling, laughing, sighing mess.  While they formed a strong friendship quickly, it all felt so natural.  Especially since Mason could be so enchanting. His sexiness easily possessed my heart!  But Harper was hesitant. How could her and Mason ever have a real relationship? Their worlds were entirely different.

I’m smart enough to know I can’t expect a relationship from Mason—our lives are too different. We met at a crossroad—a beautiful, magical, amazing crossroad—but eventually, we’re going to go our separate ways. Before I give in to this, I must prepare myself for the loss at the end.

So yes, I absolutely loved this book and this whole series!  I can’t recommend them enough! I found myself addicted to the story line and all of the characters.  Especially since Shari L. Tapscott has a way of creating males that makes me fall head over heels in love with them!  And again I absolutely loving the epilogue! It was beyond perfect and my heart couldn’t be happier!  So far I’m 3/3 for loving her books and I can’t wait to devour the rest of them!

Synopsis:

It’s Christmastime again in Heartbreaker Bay!

When Sean O’Riley shows up at the Hartford Bed & Breakfast for his older brother’s bachelor weekend, he’s just hoping to make it through the weekend. What he’s not expecting is to come face to face with the woman he lost his virginity to a decade ago—a woman he’s never really forgotten.

The last time Lotti Hartford saw Sean, she told him she loved him while he said nothing. Now, ten years later, she’s just looking for a good time. For once, she wants to be the wild and free one, and Sean – the good time guy – is the perfect candidate.

But as the weekend continues, Sean realizes that after a lifetime of being the hook-up king, he’s ready to find happily-ever-after, and he wants it with Lotti. But will she open her heart to him again? As Christmas sweeps through the little B&B, he can only hope love and magic are in the air.

Review:

Holiday Wishes was sweet, heartwarming, and had an oh so perfect ending!  I was surprised with how much was packed into this second chance novella!  And I was surprised again with how quickly I connected to the characters and was invested in this story-line.  So I definitely wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them, but thankfully I’ll get to see them in the future books of this series.

He had to laugh. “Lotti, when I first met you, you were in PE class wearing a baggy T-shirt and sweats and I wanted you.”
“I’m being serious, Sean.”
“So am I.”

Sean is Finn’s younger brother, and he’s in charge of his brother’s joint bachelor/bachelorette party.  They’re going to spend the weekend in Napa, and the group is in tow.  So Sean ended up renting out a whole B&B, just for them.  But when they get there, he didn’t expect to see the girl that was behind the check-in counter.  Lotti was the first girl Sean ever slept with, and then he proceeded to break her heart.  And Lotti doesn’t want anything to do with Sean.

“Okay, tough girl,” he said softly, nuzzling at her throat. “No questions. No talking. You go ahead and give ignoring what’s still between us your best shot. I’ll wait right here.”

Sean is determined to make amends for how he treated Lotti ten years ago.  And he wants to prove how much he’s changed.  Lotti was rightfully stubborn and didn’t want to see how much Sean has grown up.  But it was beyond obvious how much he had changed in every single one of their interactions.  And Lotti also saw how much he had grown up when he was interacting with his friends.  But the best part?  Sean made it impossible for her to ignore him.  He was persistent and everywhere Lotti seemed to turn.  I love when a man knows what he wants and tries his hardest to win the girl.  So I easily fell for Sean, especially since he was cocky, seductive, sweet, and thoughtful.

His smile was badass wicked and filled with trouble as he put a knee on the bed and began to crawl toward her with nefarious intent in his sharp gaze.

This novella can easily be read as a standalone. And if you’re a fan of novellas that pull you in quickly, or a fan of this series or author then I definitely recommend it!  You can’t help but laugh and smile at Sean and Lotti’s interactions and there were a few fun, sexy scenes!  The only thing I could wish for, was that it was longer.  I would have loved more peeks into their past when they were younger.  But at least we will get peeks into their future, with this series future releases.

Synopsis:

She’s making a list—and checking it twice. But is there a nice guy among all her naughty exes? The New York Times bestselling author of Blurred Lines returns with a charming friends-to-lovers rom-com.

When a psychic tells spunky, superstitious Kelly Byrne that she’s already met her true love, she becomes obsessed with the idea of tracking him down before Christmas. Kelly immediately writes up an “Ex List” and starts contacting old boyfriends to figure out which one is the one. When her college sweetheart rolls into town, Kelly convinces herself that they’re meant to be. The trouble is, sparks are flying with someone she’s never given a chance: her best friend, Mark.

Mark Blakely has watched the guys on Kelly’s list break her heart, and he’s not looking forward to watching them do it all over again. Mark’s always been there for her, but the timing’s never worked out for their relationship to be something more. Now, just as Mark is ready to move on, the sexual tension between them is suddenly off the charts. With Christmas morning around the corner, he just hopes Kelly will wake up and realize that everything she wants has been right in front of her all along.

Review:

If you’re looking for a book that will put you in the perfect Christmas mood, then definitely pick up An Ex for Christmas!  Not only was it fun, flirty and sexy, but I found myself humming Christmas songs for days after I finished that last page.  It was impossible not to since we got to witness them decorating for the holidays, there was Christmas songs playing in the background and the story even took place in a setting that felt like a winter wonderland.  An Ex for Christmas became my favorite Christmas romance, and I hope you end up loving it just as much as I did!

I turn back to Mark’s house and look up at the second floor, even though I know his bedroom window faces the opposite way. As expected, there’s nothing but still darkness, and I can’t stop the sinking sensation that things are somehow changing between us. And I don’t know why, and I don’t know how to stop it.

Kelly Byrne was a character I definitely haven’t met in a book before.  She used Magic 8 balls, horoscopes and tarot cards to help determine where she should go in life.  I liked her quirky, friendly ways, especially since she was a huge ball of happy energy.  On her way home at the train station, a woman beckoned to Kelly that she had news for her.  She told Kelly that she’d already met The One, and he’d come back to her before Christmas.  Taking it as the honest truth, she made a list of her exes and slowly started meeting back up with them.

The last thing I need when I’m trying to hunt down my exes is to start getting sexy thoughts about my BFF.

When Kelly started meeting her exes I was either a laughing, cringing, or desperately needing to cover my face kinda mess.  Oh my gosh, count on being more than entertained each time she met a different ex lol.  I felt bad for her because each time her hopes were so high.  She was always so optimistic!  But then when disaster would strike, she’d be reminded all over again why that man was definitely on her ex list.  Thankfully Kelly always had a constant in her life, no matter how horrific her meet-ups were.  And that was her best friend Mark Blakely.

He doesn’t meet my eyes. Not once. Not until he lowers his hand, his fingertips brushing over my lips at the very moment his gaze lifts to mine.
It feels like an electric shock.
The touch of his fingers on my lips, the heat of his gaze, the weight of his body pinning mine to the ground . . .
Somehow all of those combined is creating the most intense, unexpectedly carnal moment of my life. My eyes flutter in confusion.
No, that can’t be right. “Carnal” isn’t a word I associate with Mark.

Kelly and Mark had been best of friends for the last ten years.  They shared a dog, a backyard and they were extremely comfortable around each other.  Yet I couldn’t help but melt during so many of their interactions.  And the thing was, Kelly started to be affected during some of those moments too.  Which she shouldn’t be, because he was just her bff right?!  Well it didn’t help that gruff, sexy Mark was kinda hard to read.  You see his actions, words or even eyes would come across in an ever so sexy way, but then the next second he’d go back to being just Mark.  So I found myself smiling and sighing out loud a lot of the times when Mark was in the picture.  I was all for Kelly taking that step to see if Mark was into her too.   Yet she didn’t want to risk their friendship and tumble down that path.  I got it, in real life I would have acted the same way that Kelly did, but since this is a book I found myself wanting to bonk her over the head ever so lightly with her Magic 8 Ball and say go after Mark.

He steps even closer, a slight smile playing at his lips. “Kell?”
“What?”
“Shut up.”
He sets a knuckle to the bottom of my chin, tilting my face toward his.
My heart’s still pounding, although now it’s not so much about panic as . . . want.
I want nothing more at this moment than his lips on mine, his hands on my back pulling me close . . .
Mark’s lips brush my cheek.
My cheek.
He pulls back slightly, eyes locking on mine for one heated heartbeat.
And then he steps away . “Night, Kell.” His voice is rough.
“Night.”
He turns and walks into the raging blizzard, leaving me staring after him, mostly oblivious to the snow that’s getting all over my kitchen floor, soaking my borrowed pajama pants.
I’m ignoring the storm outside because I’m too aware of the storm within . . . and the startling realization that I want a do-over on that mistletoe kiss.
Because a part of me wishes it had gone very, very differently.

The way the story ended *happy screaming* awwww it was the best ever!  So if you adore happy quirky females, guys that give off the gruff and sexy vibe, and a cute story line that will give you all the Christmas feels,  then definitely check out this book.  LL did a fabulous job writing this festive and fun Christmas story, and I’m hoping you’ll love it too!
