During our Monthly Wrap-Up, we’ll take a look at what has happened around here in the last month. That’ll include what’s happened in my life, what the four of us have read, any other posts we may have had, giveaways still going on, our most popular Instagram posts, and books that I’ve added to my ever-growing TBR.

Jen’s Life:
Some of my highlights from September were –
✮ My bestie had her baby girl! She is the sweetest little thing ever and I’m so grateful I get to be in her life. ♥ Here’s pictures of me meeting her here.
✮ It is pumpkin spice season! While summer is technically my favorite season, fall is my favorite food season ha! One of my friends gave me this cute little sign after I went and bought every single pumpkin spice item they had at Trader Joe’s and I had to share it here. I also have a baking list a mile long of all the new and old favorite pumpkin recipes I have to make!
✮ I’m missing our days at the beach, so while I was reminiscing I posted a picture from our August vacation to Southern California here.

Our Favorite Books of the Month:
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren (Arielle’s Choice)
AHHHHHH I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. Seriously by now I have come to the conclusion that these two literally cannot write a book that I will not like. They just keep getting better and better and at this very moment I can’t decide which one is my favorite between this and Love and Other Words. Either way it doesn’t really matter. You really should go out and read every single one of their books because I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
✩✮✩
99 Days by Katie Cotugno (Cassie’s Choice)
Here’s the thing, I really liked this book. I liked Molly, the protagonist of the book. With that said, Molly makes a lot of dumb mistakes in the book. She is far from perfect. Even when she thinks she’s learned from a past mistake, she makes it again. This is frustrating from a reader’s perspective, but how many of us have done the same thing or have a friend who makes the same stupid mistake again and again?
✩✮✩
You (You #1) by Caroline Kepnes (Chelsea’s Choice)
But that’s also the beauty of this book: It shows how we are all morally gray people, and that even though we don’t think we’re into ourselves, above all else, we are. We put us first, and if we stomp on someone along the way, will we even notice? Who cares? It was just some dude I saw somewhere, what does it matter? Apparently a lot, to some. *shivers*
✩✮✩
Hot Winter Nights (Heartbreaker Bay #6) by Jill Shalvis (Jen’s Choice)
Through it all I kept finding myself smiling, sighing, laughing and clutching my heart. Not to mention there were a few scenes that had me screaming while giggling and others where I found myself with tears in my eyes. This book put me through the emotional wringer.

Books Added To Jen’s TBR This Month:
I just keep adding books to my tbr lol…..
✩✮✩✮✩✮✩✮✩✮
So that was our September. Did you read any of the same books that we did? Or share the same favorite book as us? If not, then what was your favorite book? Or have you read any of the books I just added to my TBR?
Here’s hoping you all had a wonderful September too. And cheers to October being fabulous for all of us!
Aww, cute baby. I love pumpkin spice, too, but I’ve never had the famous latte. I’ve just had pumpkin spice everything else :). Have a great October!

Confession time….I’ve never had the famous latte either. I’m not a coffee person, and whenever I drink it I smother it in chocolate and milk so I don’t even taste the coffee part of it lol. But maybe I’ll finally brave it out this year and give it a try. 🙂
It seems like everyone is reading Jill Shalvis these days. I might have to check out one of her books. See my month at Girl Who Reads
I just got into her books in the last year or so and there’s SO many backlist ones I still need to discover. Here’s hoping you enjoy her books if you end up picking one up! 🙂
It looks like you guys had an amazing reading month! There’re so many four stars and five stars reads this month. I haven’t read Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating yet but it’s on my TBR list. I hope I’ll get to it soon.
Hope you all have a wonderful October and Happy reading!

Thanks Raven, I hope you have a great October too!! And I hope you also love Josh and Hazel when you get around to reading it!!
Congrats to your friend, Jen! I’ve been hearing great things about Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating. Nice to see it on your monthly favourites!
Yes I hope you are able to get to it someday! It put a huge smile on my face and had me laughing so much.
Thank you so much for the congratulations, Sam!
I read a Christina Lauren book, but not that one (though it is on my TBR) and I was a bit lukewarm about it, I think because it had tropes that feature heavily in some of my favorite works in fanfiction, so the comparison… but it wasn’t bad and I still want to read other books by these authors, starting with “Josh & Hazel’s…”.
Which one had you read before? I hope you do read a few others and end up liking them! 🙂 I do agree some of theirs are better than others but I generally have loved them all!
I was looking for the title and turns out I’ve read 2! I just keep forgetting that Autobotography is by them too. I read that one first, and I really liked it, and then I read Roomies, which I thought had a couple awesome scenes but didn’t stirr me the way the other one did.
So yeah, I’m definitely going to read more of their books!
I definitely agree with you about Roomies. I really wanted to like it more than I did (probably bc the guy was Irish lol)–I actually just saw recently that it was optioned to become a movie and they were helping to work on a script so I’m very curious to see how it turns out!
I can’t wait to read Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating! I see you’ve added The Fragile Ordinary by Samantha Young to your TBR, and I highly recommend it! Hope you have a great October! YOu can check out my Wrap-Up post in the link below!

Thank you so much for recommending The Fragile Ordinary! It looks really good, here’s hoping I love it as much as you!
I’m eyeing that Jill Shalvis book now–I love when authors can bring out so much emotion, especially laughter. Congrats on becoming an aunt again. She looks adorable. It seems everyone is making pumpkin spice now–cookies, cereal!, and pop tarts all surprised me this year. Enjoy the abundance of choices.
I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are if you pick up that Jill Shalvis book, it was so much fun!! 🙂 And thank you so much. ♥
That’s a lot of reading and writing – good job on such a productive month!
Oh and new babies are just the sweetest! Hoping your October is a good one!

Awww, your best friend’s new little one is absolutely adorable! And, yeah, pumpkin spice is pretty much amazing, so I get your obsession.

I kinda think so too ;). And right?! It’s just beyond amazing! I love it all HA!
That is a lot of books to read in October. Those books looks captivating to have on my bookshelf.
Thank you so much!
Congratulations to your friend on the new baby. I noted that you reviewed The Darkest Minds..this is still sitting in my TBR pile. I know I need to read it!
Thank you so much for the congratulations! And YES, we definitely recommend The Darkest Minds! We had so much fun reading that series. I hope you have a lot of fun reading it too whenever you pick it up. 🙂
