During our Monthly Wrap-Up, we’ll take a look at what has happened around here in the last month. That’ll include what’s happened in my life, what the four of us have read, any other posts we may have had, giveaways still going on, our most popular Instagram posts, and books that I’ve added to my ever-growing TBR.

Jen’s Life:
Some of my highlights from December were:
✮ We hosted Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas Day for all of my family. Our days were filled with a ton of games, we ate way too much food and relaxed. I absolutely love how magical the holidays are to my two little boys. It’s so much fun watching the joy they get from baking cookies, to building a gingerbread house and opening presents. Speaking of presents, I took a picture of one of my doggies helping open a Christmas present that wasn’t his ha – click here.
✮ Two of my childhood friends stayed with us back to back, along with their husbands and kiddos. We live right by Lake Tahoe, so it’s the perfect place to vacation. We spent a lot of time sledding in the mountains and it even snowed on us one of the days. The rest of the time we were busy playing more games and even playing baseball outside in a high of 19 degrees. Wheeeee!
✮ I made one resolution for 2019. I just want to focus on happiness. Spending time with those I love, reading great books and enjoying life. It seems like a great resolution to try and work towards every day for the New Year. So cheers to all of my bookish friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year!

Our Favorite Books of the Month:
Bad Habit (Bad Love #1) by Charleigh Rose (Jen’s Choice)
A forbidden love story that was filled with angst and had a strong hate to love vibe. The characters quickly reached deep into my heart and it was so easy to feel every single one of their emotions. This book was exactly what I was looking for!
✩✮✩
Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns #1) by Kendare Blake (Arielle’s Choice)
HIGHLY recommend this series.
✩✮✩
Evermore (Everless #2) by Sara Holland (Cassie’s Choice)
Evermore was an excellent bookend to its companion, Everless. I absolutely loved this book!

So that was our December. Did you read any of the same books that we did? Or share the same favorite book as us? If not, then what was your favorite book? Or have you read any of the books I just added to my TBR?
Here’s hoping you all had a wonderful December too. And cheers to January being fabulous for all of us!
Christmas at Lake Tahoe sounds like the best thing ever. Good luck with your New Year’s resolution! Have a great January.

If you ask him if we wants a hug, he’ll wag his tail lol! And here’s hoping we both love Seafire and 99 Percent Mine *fingers crossed* Hope you are having a wonderful January!
What an excellent and fun month for you and your families. My favorite book of December was The Disasters by M.K. England and she sent me a signed ARC that I’ll treasure. My last book of 2019 was Hidden Pieces by Paula Stokes and I carried over an ARC of Four Dead Queens into 2019 (hope to finish it this weekend and so far, highly recommended).
I would treasure that too, that’s so amazing you got that sent to you, I’m so happy for you! Ohhhhh I keep hearing amazing things about Four Dead Queens, I hope you enjoy it. 🙂
I want to come vacation at your house! 🙂 Glad you had a wonderful holiday break and got to spend plenty of time with family (that pic of your pup helping with the presents is adorable, by the way).
On another note, I HAVE to know how you got your embedded Instagram pics to show up side-by-side on your blog. I cannot, for the life, of me manage it!

If only Chicago was closer to Tahoe, then you could just drive here! Friends and family stay with us all throughout the winter so they can vacation in Tahoe. ♥ It’s such a beautiful place!
Ohhhh I’ll dm you what we use! 🙂

Totally innocent LOL! Wishing you a Happy New Year too!
I had fun over the holidays with my niece and nephew being in town. I’m so envious of your Instagram photos. I told myself that since I had all the holiday decorations out I would stage some book photo ops. Yeah. Didn’t happen. lol. See what I read in December at Girl Who Reads
It helps that three of us take pictures and plan out our days of the month before it starts, then it isn’t so daunting. ♥ If it was just me alone I’d be awful at it lol! Hoping you’re having a wonderful January so far!
