BLOGIVERSARY + GIVEAWAY – Our Most Tortured BBFs

blogiversary_most tortured

Today is the last day of our Blogiversary celebration!  We hope that you have loved going through our lists of book boyfriends and favorite heroines!  If you missed one, they are our Fiercest BBFs and Kindest BBFs, Favorite Heroines and Darkest BBFsSo for today, we are going to talk about Our Most Tortured BBFs.  These men completely enrapture our hearts, we ache for them as the story progresses and we can’t stop thinking about them long after we have closed the book.  We hope you’ll want to meet all of our favorites too!  And we’re wishing you lots of luck on our giveaway…..they’re 7 books that we loved!  Enjoy!  And thank you for celebrating with us!

Rhysand from A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1) by Sarah J. Maas
* Amazon * Goodreads *

Rhys suffers so much for the people of his court during the entire series.  For 49 years he was used and abused Under the Mountain before Feyre came and even after finding his mate, he doesn’t think he’s worth that kind of love. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WORTH IT, RHYS.

Chaol from Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass #1) by Sarah J. Maas
* Amazon * Goodreads *

Chaol’s character goes through one of the biggest and best transformations throughout the course of the Throne of Glass series.  He starts off as a very unforgiving person with a lot of deep prejudices and after a few major and heartbreaking events, does a complete 180. His own personal journey from self loathing to acceptance in Tower of Dawn is incredible.

Will Herondale from Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare
* Amazon * Goodreads *

I’m pretty sure Will is my oldest and most beloved of all the tortured BBFs I have come to know and love.  The fact that he was just going to let Tessa (his one true love) be with Jem because of his love for his parabatai is a knife to the freaking heart.

“I am catastrophically in love with you.”

Cal from War Storm (Red Queen #4) by Victoria Aveyard
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

While Cal is certainly tortured throughout the entire Red Queen series, I feel he is at his most tortured during War Storm. He and Mare are in a difficult spot, he is still conflicted about his brother no matter how many awful things Maven does, there’s a major war going and he needs to reconcile his feelings about continuing the way things have always been done versus charting a new way for the people of his country. And I’m pretty sure I’m leaving a few additional conflicts out of that list, but you get the gist.

Arcus from Frostblood (Frostblood Saga #1) by Elly Blake
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Arcus is the guy who is looking out for those who were there for him when he needed them most. When he had no one else. And he and Ruby may have animosity at first, but what grows from their banter is a loyalty and attraction (haha and forbidden) that makes my heart beat so fast I can barely breathe-he does everything in his power to protect her and save her….and I just adore him so much.

I brought you here to prepare you for a huge task,” he said, dipping the cloth in the water and touching it to my cheek again. “An enormous weight rests on your shoulders.”
I sighed, irritated at the reminder of what made me truly important. I wanted to mean more to Arcus than a way to melt the throne.
“And now I wonder if I can let you go,” he added quietly.

Akos from Carve the Mark (Carve the Mark #1) by Veronica Roth
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Wow, did I love this guy. Used as a pawn to heal and keep pain from Cyra, he is anything but happy. But as their forbidden love grows and the preconceived notions against one another fade, the relationship blooms into something so fierce, you can’t breathe when they are pitted against one another. Just amazing. And let’s not forget his kindness that he refuses to let go of..but when he has to for survival, it rips his soul to shreds.

Once I reached the door, I paused with my hand near the sensor, listening.
At first, all I heard were heavy breaths that turned into sobs. Then Akos screamed, and there was a loud crash, followed by another one. He screamed again, and I pressed my ear to the door to listen, my lower lip trapped between my teeth. I bit down so hard I tasted blood when Akos’s screams turned to sobs.

Wallace from Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

To be fair, Wallace should have been under kindest…but rules are rules and I need him on my list, even if he’s not wholly tortured. He was sweet and funny and endearing and kind…but he didn’t talk out loud. At least, not all the time. And mostly to Eliza and only his closest friends. And, in the end, at THAT scene where things are, ahem, made right, I saw a tortured soul who really doesn’t know what he’s doing at all-and I loved him even more, even after everything.

(Wallace) rainmaker: Weird, I didn’t know you had such a thing for timid guys.
(Eliza) MirkerLurker: Really does it for me when a guy is paralyzed with fear on a regular basis
.
rainmaker: Aw. Sad.
MirkerLurker: What’s sad?
rainmaker: That it would never work between us. I’m too courageous.

Reece from Black Bird of the Gallows (Black Birds of the Gallows #1) by Meg Kassel
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Reece may be one of the most tortured souls I’ve ever read about.  He gutted me.  He broke my heart and then shattered it into the tiniest of pieces.  But he also had the ability to completely captivate my attention and melt my heart.  And did I mention he was full of secrets?  He was such a complex soul and was deliciously addicting!  I loved, loved, loved Reece!

His lips brush against mine in the whisper of a kiss. It’s different from any other. It tastes of certainty and sadness and promises that can never be made.

Prince Caden from The Prince (A Wicked Trilogy #3.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Prince Caden’s past haunted him over the horrors he was put through.  And while he could be cold and distant, he wasn’t always that way around Brighton.  He could be seductive, playful and the way he was protective of her was sexy as hell!  Caden was absolutely beautiful inside and out and he easily caught me in his web of seduction.

He drew my head back and then I felt his lips press to my temple. He kissed me there, and I don’t know why, but that act squeezed at my chest like my heart was in a juice grinder. It was sweet and intimate and… It was everything.

Rhett from ISAN (International Sensory Assassin Network #1) by Mary Ting
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Rhett was protective and intense, but he continually made me laugh and smile.  And at the same time, my heart hurt so horribly for him.  The love of his life doesn’t even remember him.  I even found myself with tears in my eyes during a few of those moments.  But I kept holding out hope that Ava’s heart would find her way back to Rhett and that she would love him as much as I did.

“….I’ll tell you this, no one in this world loves you as much as I do.” – Rhett to Ava

Synopsis:

Who needs mistletoe?

Most people wouldn’t think of a bad Santa case as the perfect Christmas gift. Then again, Molly Malone, office manager at Hunt Investigations, isn’t most people, and she could really use a distraction from the fantasies she’s been having since spending the night with her very secret crush, Lucas Knight. Nothing happened, not that Lucas knows that—but Molly just wants to enjoy being a little naughty for once . . .

Whiskey and pain meds for almost-healed bullet wounds don’t mix. Lucas needs to remember that next time he’s shot on the job, which may be sooner rather than later if Molly’s brother, Joe, finds out about them. Lucas can’t believe he’s drawing a blank on his (supposedly) passionate tryst with Molly, who’s the hottest, smartest, strongest woman he’s ever known. Strong enough to kick his butt if she discovers he’s been assigned to babysit her on her first case. And hot enough to melt his cold heart this Christmas.

Review:

Hot Winter Nights was sexy, hilarious, heartwarming and made my heart beat faster.  I loved this book with my whole heart and soul.  And while it can easily be read as a standalone, I’m a little preferential to this fabulous group of friends and recommend picking up all of the previous books too.  It’s so much fun watching their lives intertwine, see what everyone is up to and falling in love with each couple in this series!

“There’s something I need to talk to you about,” he said very seriously.
“I’m not going to rate your performance last night.”
“That’s not—” He paused, his eyes sharpened. “Wait. What does that mean?”
“Nothing.”
“So you’re saying I
did suck.”
She had to laugh. “Well, if you can’t remember it, how good could it really have been, right?”

While healing from a gunshot wound, Lucas Knight found Molly Malone in his bed the next morning.  Even though nothing happened, Lucas couldn’t remember anything thanks to alcohol and his pain meds, and Molly had way too much fun making Lucas think otherwise.  You see, not only did they work together, but Molly was Lucas’ best friend’s little sister. There had always been this addicting sexual tension running between them.  And they were about to spend even more time together!  When a bad Santa case ended up in Molly’s lap, she secretly took it on.  She would love to go from office manager to private investigator and this could help her get what she wanted.  Thankfully she had Lucas who would help her along the way.

“Molly,” he breathed and shifted so that his forehead rested against hers. Sliding his hands into her hair, his fingertips against her scalp, he held her in place. “Do that again,” he demanded, his voice soft steel.

I. Loved. Lucas!  If you are addicted to alpha males, you have to meet him.  He was honest, trustworthy and also sexy as sin.  He put his whole heart in his job, even if it was broken from the past.  But thankfully he had this fabulous, loud, meddling family that I fell head over heels for.  They added so much heart from just the few scenes they were in.  And he also had Molly filling up his life with light and laughter.

“And one more thing. No talking.”
“How about dirty talk?” he asked. “That doesn’t count, right?”
She surprised him by laughing and lightened his heart.
“Dirty talk is allowed,” she decided, and right then and there, he fell in love.

I adored Molly, she was brave, fierce, loyal yet she heavily guarded her heart.  Her past had physically and emotionally scarred her and even though Molly and I didn’t seem to have anything in common, I clicked with her right away.  While Lucas and Molly worked on the bad Santa case they spent more and more time together. I loved how they joked around and that it was beyond obvious that they wanted each other.  But it wasn’t all fun and games for Molly since she kept putting on the breaks. I got it, but oh it pained my heart. I just kept my fingers crossed that they’d figure it out because together they were something spectacular.

He was taking a chance.
On purpose.
He was putting himself out there and it was fucking terrifying.

It got to the point where they definitely couldn’t ignore what was happening between them.  One thing led to another and words turned to touches, sigh. And through it all I kept finding myself smiling, sighing, laughing and clutching my heart.  Not to mention there were a few scenes that had me screaming while giggling and others where I found myself with tears in my eyes.  This book put me through the emotional wringer.  So of course I definitely recommend Hot Winter Nights.  If you adore alpha males, mysteries, bad Santa’s, strong heroines and a fabulous group of friends then definitely pick his one up!

PS The Friends references, in some of the titles for the chapters, oh my gosh I loved it!

Nicholas Russo, aka Nico from The Sweetest Oblivion (Made #1) by Danielle Lori
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Nico was seductive but dangerous, he was one of the most notorious men in the mafia.  He had a traumatic past, but he was a smart business man and got further than anyone else his age.  He was respected, feared and lusted after. And I found myself completely engrossed in everything that was Nico and his alpha ways. Especially when I read some of the chapters in his pov!  But those moments when Elena and Nico were together, they made me laugh, smile, swoon and fall deeply in love.

I wanted to fuck her and ruin her for anyone else. I wanted to crush her wings and then put them back together again so she’d become dependent on me. I wanted her to need me. That dark, possessive, and dangerous feeling crawled through me every time she crossed my path.
Elena Abelli was my vice, and fuck if I’d let it kill me.

Iron Phantom from The Supervillain and Me (Morriston Superheroes #1) by Danielle Banas
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

The day after Abby was rescued by a new super, he was caught on video burning city hall.  And then he vanished.  The city dubbed him as a Supervillain and called him Iron Phantom. But he saved Abby so he can’t be all bad, right? Or can he?  BTW I loved Iron Phantom, he was seductive, cocky, brave, selfless, thoughtful and playful…sigh.

“Abigail,” he whispered, his voice so low it nearly got lost amid the hum of the AC unit. “I’m not the bad guy. I’m not a villain. If I wanted to hurt you, I would have done it already.”

Kaz from Six of Crows (Six of Crows #1) by Leigh Bardugo
* Amazon * Goodreads *

I had a hard time deciding if Kaz belonged in this category or that of Most Tortured.  Overall with his life and power gained with the Dregs in Ketterdam’s underbelly earns him a solid position as one of my darkest.  He may be cutthroat and one of the most dangerous minds in Bardugo’s books but I will forever love him.

Dante from Legendary (Caraval #2) by Stephanie Garber
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Oh. My. Goshhhhhh.  Dante’s character in Caraval was nothing short of horrible but that all changes in Legendary.  He connects with Tella in a way that had me gobbling up each of their interactions. It’s clear he has an important and possibly sinister role during each Caraval game and finding out what that is at the end of this book is so worth it.

Elias from A Reaper at the Gates (An Ember in the Ashes #3) by Sabaa Tahir
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

I know this is kind of an obvious choice, but since a Reaper at the Gates just came out, it only solidifies just how dark Elias has become. Elias’ story has never been pleasant, but there’s been light spots here and there throughout the series. But by the end of Reaper, it’s practically pitch black. I hope the fourth book finds himself fighting to get out of the dark, but the ending of book three is about as far away from happy as you can go.

Cardan from The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Cardan is the bad boy you can’t help but drool over. He’s cruel, but he just..his heart is more than that. Or maybe I’m a hopeless, lovesick puppy that’s seeing more to it than there actually is but…I really hope there is. Layers, people. Layers. He’s dripping with depth (and desire EEPS). See: Forbidden.

“Have I told you how hideous you look tonight?” Cardan asks, leaning back in the elaborately carved chair, the warmth of his words turning the question into something like a compliment.
“No” I say, glad to be annoyed back into the present. “Tell me.”
“I can’t.”

Rook from An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Apparently, for me, this is the year of the Fae because I am just OBSESSED. Rook is so hard to explain. He does everything in his power to prove his worth, even at the cost of the girl he hates-but-really-is-falling-for-even-though-it’s-forbidden (AGAIN)…yet, when it comes down to it, he’d die for her. Sorry not sorry-knife to my peril-loving heart.

“Are you in love with me?” I blurted out.
A terrible silence followed. Rook didn’t turn around.
“Please say something.”
He rounded on me. “Is that so terrible? You say it as though it’s the most awful thing you can imagine. It isn’t as though I’ve done it on purpose. Somehow I’ve even grown fond of your – your irritating questions, and your short legs, and your accidental attempts to kill me.”
I recoiled. “That’s the worst declaration of love I’ve ever heard!”

Poet from Trick (Foolish Kingdoms #1) by Natalia Jaster
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Ahhh my snarky, quick-witted, and silver-tongued jester. Need I say more, REALLY? Tough on the outside, hates the princess…until he doesn’t. What ensues is a forbidden love affair that strips Poet down to the core-and ohhhhhh the feels. When he is stripped bare…that’s when we see what truly lays beneath. And it’s oh so beautiful. Did I say forbidden? Lolz

As we crossed into his line of vision, Poet became aware of me and tensed, his shoulder blades locking.
The crease of his spine. The waist that tapered and then rounded into a solid backside.
Anticipation flared. But he kept advising the girl, sparing me not a glance.
Not until the distance between us grew again.
We craned our heads over our shoulders, our eyes smoldering.

Female_chelsea

Jude from The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Okay. The biggest cliché BUT COME ON-She. Is. SOOOO badass. She is a human who takes on all the fae, defeating the worst and most cunning of them all, time after time…only to fall for him. Come. ON. I love her and I want to be friends with her (but not really because she’d not only kick my ass but hand me over in a second to get what she needs HA).

“Well, let me remind you that means you have much to lose and I have nothing. You may win in the end, you may enscroll me and hurt me and humiliate me, but I will make sure you lose everything I can take from you on the way down. I promise you this is the least of what I can do.”

Lira from To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
*Review * Amazon * Goodreads *

Lira is yet another fierce female who, in the end, is just so bad I can barely stand how awesome she is. And the writing in this book-WOW. If I could write, it would be like this woman. And, as it goes, the monster falls for the other monster…even though they are both hunting one another (unbeknownst to either, obviously). Seeing this all play out…it was beautiful and epic and just out of this world amazing. I love this book so hard.

Every action will betray. Every choice will slaughter. Despite what my mother says, I seem to be the exact kind of monster she wanted.

Isobel from An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

And then sweet Isobel. Yet another human fallen prey to the fae….or, rather, the charms of a certain fae. A young artist who gets swept away to the faerie courts and worlds-but don’t be fooled, for Isobel is no fool, and she won’t be swayed just for love-but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t fallen for the charming and tortured Rook.

I’d always scoffed at stories in which maidens pine for their absent suitors, boys they’ve hardly known a week and have no business falling for. Didn’t they realize their lives were worth more than the dubious affection of one silly young man? That there were things to do in a world that didn’t revolve solely around their heartbreak? Then it happens to you, and you understand you aren’t any different from those girls after all.

Zara from Bring Me Their Hearts (Bring Me Their Hearts #1) by Sara Wolf
*Review * Amazon * Goodreads *

Zara was sarcastic, witty, spoke her mind and wasn’t afraid to challenge others.  I loved how sure she was of herself and she was a heroine that I could easily respect.  It was so much fun watching what should have just been a job turn into so much more. The more she learned about the Prince and his secrets, the more she found herself conflicted.  Her freedom came first, but at what cost when the Prince started treating her unlike any one else ever had. And I found myself nervous. She was to turn the man I had fallen for into a monster.  How could I ever forgive her………

I want nothing more than to stay in this moment, my hand in his.  But that’s an impossibility. A weakness. I am a monster, and he’s a human.  I want his heart, and I want his other heart. His affection, his blood. I want it all.
But if I take one, I can’t have the other.

Amelia from The Importance of Being Scandalous (A Tale of Two Sisters #1) by Kimberly Bell
*Review * Amazon * Goodreads *

I loved Amelia.  She was strong willed, fierce and protected those that she loved.  It was a breath of fresh air that she knew what she wanted and had no problems speaking her mind.  I clicked with her instantly. Amelia made me smile, laugh and my heart hurt for her for the situation she was in.  Thankfully she had a lot of light in her life. And while I loved the relationship she had with her sister Julia I found myself even more addicted to the one she had with Nicholas.

Amelia sighed.  Before she closed the cloak, she turned to her sister. “How do I look, honestly?”
“Like a women who is up to absolutely no good.”
Amelia nodded. “Well, then I suppose I’m ready.”

Lauren from Glitter and Sparkle (Glitter and Sparkle #1) by Shari L. Tapscott
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

Right from the start I loved Lauren!  She has the most adorable voice.  She was honest, heartfelt, and I loved her passion for crafting and her blog.  She pulled me right in and she was someone I would love to be best friends with!  This was a book I hope all of my friends will read!  Between the back and forth banter, the scenes that made me laugh and cry and the beautiful characters, it was just all so perfect!  And as if that wasn’t enough, the epilogue was the most amazing thing ever!

He stretches higher, and his shirt shifts a little more. “Like this?”
Bad Lauren.
I rub a spot behind my ear, feeling a little guilty. “Maybe just a little higher…” Oh, I give up. I can look at him, can’t I?
I can detest someone while admiring their hotness?

Celaena Sardothian from Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass #1) by Sarah J. Maas
 * Amazon * Goodreads *

She’s a badass female assassin–the greatest in all of Erilea.  She’s sassy, loves chocolate and books, and is loyal to a fault. This series would be nothing without her.

Kestrel Trajan from The Winner’s Curse (The Winner’s Trilogy #1) by Marie Rutkoski
* Amazon * Goodreads *

I love Kestrel because of how fiercely loyal and clever she is.  She accepted a duel with a man twice her size so that her slave wouldn’t get whipped and refused to tell Arin the truth about being a spy because she knew he would remove himself from the rebellion to save her. One of my favorite series of all time!

Mare from War Storm (Red Queen #4) by Victoria Aveyard
* Review  * Amazon * Goodreads *

I loved the character Mare Barrow from the moment I met her in Red Queen a few years ago. While I understand not everyone feels the same way, I appreciate the fact that she’s not perfect and makes mistakes, but tries to learn from those mistakes and keeps her end goal in mind. Which is not particularly easy considering everything that happens over the course of the series. But through it all, she remains loyal, fierce, understanding, funny and kind and I like to think she does ultimately get her happy ending.

Lila from A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab
* Amazon * Goodreads *

When I first read this series a year ago, I almost instantly fell in love with it. A few weeks ago, I read it for the second time, and I think I liked it even more. While a lot of that is thanks to the four main characters (Lila, Kell, Alucard and Rhy), Lila certainly is a major factor. She unabashedly herself and doesn’t take no for an answer. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and will do anything to help them, even after everything she did for own self-preservation. Underneath her snark and knives, there is a girl who is capable of great love and kindness.

JARED
If I had a dollar for every time Banner Morales made my heart skip a beat...
The heart everyone assumes is frozen over.
Her anger is...arousing.
Every glare from those fire-spitting eyes, every time she grits her teeth,
gets me...well, you know.
If I had a dollar for every time she's put me in my place, I'd be an even richer man.
I'm a successful sports agent because I assume "no" means you'll think about it.
I'm sure what you meant to say is "Coming right up.”
They say even rich men don't always get what they want,
but those men don't know how to play the game. The trick is to keep them guessing.
Take Banner. She assumes she's winning, but this game?
She doesn't even know how to play.

BANNER
If I had a dollar for every time Jared Foster broke my heart, I’d have exactly one dollar.
One night. One epic fail. One dollar...and I'm out.
I've moved on.
I’ve found success in a field ruled by men.
Anything they can do, I have done better.
They can keep the field while I call the shots, blocking them when I have to.
And Jared has the nerve to think he gets a second chance?
Boy, please. Go sit down. Have several seats.
I'll just be over here ignoring the man carved from my fantasies with a lust-tipped chisel.
Oh, I didn't say the struggle wasn't real.
But I've got that one dollar, and Jared won't have me.

Excerpt:

[scroll-box]I stretch my arm toward the wall and turn out the lights.
With the light snuffed out, my other senses rise, hunting for her in the dark. The smell of her hair and her quick, shallow breaths. My sight adjusts until the heavy black curtain completely obscuring her fades to gray. Light from the outer room spills under the door, revealing just the shape, the outline of her, but still camouflaging details. I cup her cheek, taking a moment to appreciate the softness of her skin, the silky hair brushing my knuckles. I’m not an idiot. She wants the lights out because she’s self-conscious, but from my perspective, she has nothing to be ashamed of.
“I think you’re beautiful, Ban.”
“You do?” she asks, her voice hushed.
My words surprise me as much as they seem to surprise her, because I don’t say shit like that to girls. The prettiest ones usually seem to already know, which makes any admiration I’d express redundant. But Banner . . . she’s so beautiful, and I’m not sure she knows.
“I do.” I push the hair away from her face.
“Uh . . . thank you.” Her laugh isn’t much more than a breath. “The lights are out, so I’m not sure that compliment counts.”
“I know your face by heart. You have seven freckles here.” I swipe a finger over the straight bridge of her nose and drift down to caress her full lips and the tiny dent in her cheek her smile displays. “And a dimple right here.”
I explore the smooth skin of her nape, under a heavy fall of hair.
“Now I want to know your body, too,” I say softly. “Take off your clothes for me, Banner.”
After a sharply indrawn breath, she raises her arms. The rustle of her clothes—the sweatshirt, jeans, socks, shoes—being discarded whisper in the dark. I approximate her by touch, reaching for her arms and closing my fingers around the softness, the velvety skin. I lower my head and run my nose along her neck, discovering.
“You always smell so good.” I’ve wanted to tell her that since the first night we studied here.
“Pretty Pastel,” she replies, her laugh low, nervous.
“What?” I pause.
“The smell. It’s my dryer sheets. The scent is Pretty Pastel.”
“I like it.” I resume my exploration, running a palm over her shoulder, her collarbone until I find the soft, full weight of her breasts, testing them in my hands, cupping them, holding them, brushing the nipples with my thumbs until they pebble and her breaths come harshly.
“You like that?” I ask.
I see her head nod in the semi-darkness. “Yeah. It feels good.”
Her touch startles me in the best way, her hand finding my face, traveling over my mouth, eyes, and hair. I sense her approach, feel tiny pants of breath on my lips, and anticipation has me panting, too, shortens my breath and sharpens my senses. Her mouth seeks mine, eager and sweet when she kisses me. Her pleasure, her excitement matches, answers, fans mine.
I guide her back down to the couch, and with a hand at her shoulder, urge her to stretch out. I’d shave points off my GPA for a glimpse of her, but she doesn’t want that. I get it, so I settle for a taste.
